SUBJECT: School Social Networking Media TO: Principal of Republic Polytechnic 11 July 2011 Republic Polytechnic 9 Woodlands Avenue 9 Singapore 738964 Dear Sir or Madam, Proposal to lift the ban of social networking websites in Republic Polytechnic. I am Mohammad Azam Bin Berazam, student of Republic Polytechnic representing class E24F. We are aware about the recent ban of all social networking platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and instant messaging clients such as MSN messenger in our school. This is our petition against this. Our reasons below: Firstly, social networking is one of the ways where we can use for our presentations. There was once our facilitator asked us to present our presentation by using one of the social networks, Facebook. Also, facilitators are always expecting STA students to be more creative in our methods of presentations. So, social networking platforms are the way we can reach out and appeal to the masses. Therefore, these social networking websites and platforms give us a more exciting way of presenting our presentations. Secondly, we use social networking as a form where we can pass each other the problems. Most of the days, we experience connection failure in the morning as too many people were using it at the same time. Therefore for those people who downloaded the problem of the day uses MSN to send the files to people who still having problem downloading the files instead of passing around the thumb drive. On the other hand, we truly understand the purpose of banning the social network as it could distract to us while doing our daily assignment and when we are paying attention to our facilitators. However, these social networks would only distract the student if he or she allows it to be. These websites do not contribute to our daily grades and if the student does not perform well in class, the facilitator would have the right to grade us accordingly. Therefore, we request and plead that the ban of social networking to be lifted but monitored. Thank you for your consideration. We will really looking forward to your favourable response. LOLS Thursday, January 07, 2010 todae heard that Os result coming out == many mixed feelings dnno how to explain my feeling too stress to even express it out how can i handle this? hiax.... i wanna go find a place and hide but actually wat ppl say are correct it is all fated its alrdy planned haix.. i wan to tell myself tat i can do it but juz ..... cant convince myself i wan to shout it out but i cant x. x feel like crying now at this moment I WAN GUD RESULT I WAN GO TO THE POLY I WAN Monday, December 28, 2009 bed came ard an hour ago and was disaster == wth dam messy mummy keep asking me to move and stable everything then was like i haven even plan okay lor == she always dn trust wat i say der leh , it's like really cannot put there she dn believe then suan le then the whole room now was in terrible mode == no eye to see == suan le ............ ytd baobeii come my hse at 7+ wif his bro for my daddy birthdae celebration == and seriously was like dotzzzzz == his bro was dam active as always == people here was my family +baobeii + his bro + da sao + gu gu & family then me aNd baobeii went downstair to meet HOHO & wen liang wa, was dam happy to see them der cuz so long nv see them liao ^^ was dam cool yah ~~!!!!!!!! oh the reason why they are downstair becuz baobeii cor them to help him grab a shoe for new year from converse sales == hahhaaa to me the shoes was okay and fine wif me but still i dn agree that the shoe which looks so normal cost $40 ?????? althought it's branded == and was not too bad thanks to hoho & wen wen then went home plAyed psp wif baobeii (we take turns) and en en came down and play wif baobeii's bro LOLZ then at the end we played en en 's DS it was great and exciting LOLZ was totally mad playing the game that en had LOLZ tired more than 5 times then got first == and en dn let me play liao T.T sian == baobeii todae going to his fren's chalet hmm for gathering i guess? then i stay at home rot lolz!!!! so wont be seeing him tonite actually was planning to go bugis to shop for new year clothing but was rainning and also lazy to go out == gonna go find another job that can have more $$ to save for my labtop fees == was damm broke this daes == cuz of the new bed and wardorde == $500+++ ? sian == and it was a mircle todae tht eileen actually wanted to go shop wif me @ bugis which she thinks is so far ? ????? DOTZZZ thanks her alot yah lolz but i lazy lah then called yen yen she din pick upT.T so cute lor she and bernard hahaaa~ still can rmb the shy look on their face when ex-changing presents hahaaaa!~ i share go find some other things to do alrdy~ TATA~ |
